It’s BC Buy Local Week from November 30th to December 6th, 2015.
Actively supported by many municipalities across Metro Vancouver, Whistler, and Vancouver Island, the BC Buy Local Week celebrates and illuminates locally-owned and independently operated businesses in BC to make them more visible for the public. The BC Buy Local Week is spearheaded by LOCO BC.
Did you know that a 1% increase in BC consumer spending in local businesses equates to 3100 more BC-based jobs and an additional $94 million for BC wages? That’s a major impact, boost, and infusion of revenue into our beautiful BC economy.
LOCO BC is a membership-based organization focussed on connecting locally or independently-owned BC businesses with each other and the informed consumer. EcoZero is proud to be a locally-owned, locally-operated business. All our employees live in BC, and most importantly, all the used cooking oil we collect is committed to creating locally-made, clean-burning biodiesel in BC. We love where we live and feel it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is our passion for our province that drives us to work towards keeping BC as prosperous, green, and pristine as possible for our future generations.
It was a no-brainer for EcoZero to join LOCO since both of us agree on the importance of keeping BC’s economy strong by re-investing and keeping our revenues within BC. It has been a great experience to connect with other like-minded businesses and we look forward to getting further involved.
